Kailash Devi Ji’s work in terracotta jewellery is rooted in the Molela craft tradition, shaped through her family’s practice and guided by her father-in-law and husband. With their support, she began adapting terracotta techniques into jewellery, reflecting both experimentation and initiative.

Her work contributes to diversifying the craft by introducing wearable forms aligned with contemporary preferences. It also highlights the growing role of women in independent production and creative decision-making within the craft.

Kailash Devi Ji sees her practice as a way to inspire other women, demonstrating how traditional knowledge can be reinterpreted to create new opportunities for engagement and livelihood.
